Forests, meadows and vineyards; a true feast for the eyes!
The entrance to the Park is a former Roman road, called Agrippa, uphill following the borderline of the Park and serves as a pedestrian walkway. The Agrippa divides and follows a track at the edge of the forest, along a Creek (class A trout) and ends in the village of Saint Maurice les Couches with a church from the 12e century. This beautiful hike takes about 20 minutes.
Near La Bonne vie is the Castle of Couches (guided visits possible), there are many Vintners with wine tasting and sales, the voie Verte (a bicycle path around Burgundy) adjacent to the Canal du Centre (2 km) and the villages of Couches and St. Leger sur Dheune (3 km) with their shops.
From the Park you have a clear look at the mountain of Mont Rome (545m), the highest mountain in the area. The top of the mountain is a flat plateau with a fantastic view on the surrounding vineyards of the Côte de Beaune Haute. There is also an open air theatre.
